How It Works – Step-by-Step

Most public customers are in and out in just a few steps. Here’s exactly what to expect when you arrive at Jacksonville Metal Recycling.

  1. 1
    Arrive & Follow the Signs
Pull into the entrance and follow the signs to the public scale. If you’re unsure, stop and ask—we’re happy to guide you.
  2. 2
    Weigh In on the Scale
Drive onto the scale and wait for the bell and the green light. Our team stamps your vehicle weight and lets you know when to drive forward.
  3. 3
    Go to the Right Area
Steel and iron go to the steel yard on the left lane; copper, aluminum, brass, and electronics go to the non-ferrous drive through lanes on the right. Our staff will point you in the right direction.
  4. 4
    Unload Your Material
Unload safely in the area we show you. For non-ferrous items, we’ll weigh each type separately so you can see exactly what you’re getting paid for.
  5. 5
    Weigh Out When You’re Empty
Once you’ve unloaded, drive back onto the scale and wait for the bell and green light so we can capture your empty weight.
  6. 6
    Get Your Receipt & Cash
Come to the office for your receipt. Scan the barcode at our onsite ATM to collect your cash payout. Keep your receipt until you’ve confirmed your cash and you’re ready to leave.
